Zoe Emma Scott is a local artist based in South Shields, Tyne & Wear.  She has sampled many different arts and crafts over the years but painting is her passion.  Zoe enjoys using bright, happy colours with a little humour thrown in.  She specialises in seaside scenes including her favourite topic of quirky beach huts and VW camper vans which she is often asked to personalise.

Zoe is probably best known for her whimsical take on some local landmarks, most of which involve some bunting here and there!

As a child, Zoe was inspired to paint after seeing the intricate illustrations of The Brambly Hedge Collection and the colourful paintings in the well-known Ladybird books.  She says her painting is her ‘key to the secret garden’ – a world where anything is possible and is only limited by her own and the customer’s imagination!

Zoe is currently working on tourist information illustrations for two towns in Costa Rica and Spain; illustrating two children’s books one of which she is co-writing with her 11 year old son Evan and is also fitting in time to do personalised paintings.

She has a new set of landmark Christmas cards that will be available from the end of October.
